At a young age I was told of who God was but it wasn’t until I was old enough to understand what a big part he took in our lives that I chose to put my faith in Christ. I believe that it is supposed to be a natural and organic relationship with your creator. It’s not supposed to be hard to want to put your trust in Him. Keyword: want. You have to want it. I assure you he will suddenly surprise you with a reminder. It’s like as soon as you make that choice he sends a message out to earth specifically for you saying “I’m here! I heard you my child! I love you!” that’s God. You suddenly feel Him. That would be the best way to describe it. The older I get the more I’ve lived and have become aware of his hand over my life. I have so much to be grateful for. My career of choice is a creative one. Every idea, vision, and effort I put into my work I believe he plants in my mind with a purpose. That purpose can vary, but I know that it is to first and foremost, do good unto my co-workers / peers and simply love. Because that is what God expresses to me and it’s my joy to share it. It is the most rewarding feeling to bless others with the gifts God has given me. I think back to when I started thinking about what I wanted to do with my life, and it brings a smile to my face to know that God still found a way to show himself through me and my work. That’s amazing to me!

We all have a gift. Explore your interests and practice what you’re best at and you will find it. Then use it to mirror the Lord’s goodness. I’ve failed on loving Him many times, but even after all that, He offers forgiveness and warms my heart with his love. So, some simple advice from me to you is this. Ask God to show you how to love Him. Even when you fail to love Him that doesn’t mean you should stop because he is always there to those who cry out to him wholeheartedly. I’m only 22 years old and still trying to figure things out. I don’t know what life has in store for me next but I have faith to overcome whatever comes my way. Romans 8:28-39
I wish I had picked a more upbeat song, ha ha! but it’s not about the beat in this case – this song is so special to me, it’s helped me on days when I’ve felt sad, confused, stressed, etc. It’s so beautiful! I hope you give it a listen, really hear the lyrics and feel the connection with your creator. He knows you.
